Buccaneer/Mutineer Spinnaker Sock |
This sock was designed so that it retains it's shape.

It is pleated to fit the bulk of the spinnaker for easy deployment and retrieval.

Each sock is made custom to the specific size and fold or your spinnaker.

The end holds a piece of PVC tube that exits through the cuddy into the cockpit. You add the additional pvc tube (just enough to exit through your cuddy cover) so there is no need for additional drainage tube, freeing up the floor of the cockpit so your crew is not stepping on or tripping over the drainage mechanism or the sock itself.

The neck of the sock is attached to the spinnaker snout and the inside of the collar is lined with Pheifertex for extra grip.

A double thick band of Sunbrella is sewn around the neck for chafe protection (hose clamp not included).
 |
As the spinnaker is pulled into the sock the tapered area takes in just enough sail so that the pleated area folds the bulk of the sail making it a swift retrieval and smooth deployment.

The sock is hand sewn in a fashion so there are no rough edges or abrasive areas that would add wear to your spinnaker.
